In recently years, the Internet has been widely recognized as the most convenient, best extensive and fastest means of media. With the continuous development of the Internet, the public are no longer satisfied with the exchange of words and pictures online, but to expect a more direct and quicker way to interact. What people are longing for is the realm where no matter where we are, we are still as close as neighbors. The same as the initial creation purpose of You Tube, which is to help people exchange their own videos freely without any limits or to post their personally taken videos on the Internet, which seems like we are carrying the videos with us to exchange our ideas and lives with others constantly.The digital industry is still in its infancy. Thus the digital cultural website does have huge potential developmental room. The issue we are facing now is how to spread the digital culture to people via Internet. Even though we can rely on words and pictures, the online video would be a more convenient and deeper method due to its fast development.This paper aims to analyze the development conditions of cultural knowledge on video websites, through the lateral comparison of domestic and international video websites relating to culture. Drawing lessons from successful experience abroad, this paper means to find out the developmental direction of cultural video websites in China, based on which, the shingfang.tv, a professional video blog to introduce Chinese digital culture, is created. Shingfang.tv employs the means of micro-video and to illustrate Chinese digital culture with six-minute videos. By means of video interview to all types of scholars and cultural creators in the field of cultural digital entertainment and assessment of its value, the future developmental direction of shingfang.tv is discussed in this paper.
