RFID technology is widely used around the world since Nineties the 20th century. Then, RFID technology has been involved in a variety of industries, which will be the basic technology of the construction of an information society. At present the typical applications of RFID technology include: cargo management, production line automation, animal tags, highway toll and parking fees. China will be the world's largest RFID application market, while RFID industry in China is still at an early stage. There are many undeveloped areas of the applications.There are many inconveniences in the transport and storage of large-scale equipment. A non-contact type of information to read management approach proposed in this paper. Using 2.4GHz frequency RF chip, large-scale equipment management system consists of RF cards and the reader. This paper studies are as follows:1. The design of RF card. The card uses the button on battery power and selects MSP430 as microcontroller. The information between microcontroller and RF chip is transmitted by SPI mode. In order to extend battery life, microcontroller's internal timer turns off the RF chip from time to time.2. The design of reader. Serial port is used in communication between reader and host computer. Host computer sends commands to the microcontroller, the commands include:searching card, reading the card data, modifing the card data and modifing the card ID. Data transmission between microcontroller and chips is finished by SPI interface.A system composed of multiple cards which have competition for readers. The cards are distributed into multiple frequencies in order to reduce the card collision.The development of this system avoids the mistakes in large-scale equipment management. Electronic information is usually not easy to lost, which reduces the economic losses caused by loss of information. In addition, Non-contact information collection methods means for increasing the efficiency and accuracy of data collection. Therefore, the design and implement of this system possess a certain degree of practical application value.
