Business Intelligence (BI) is a process that business information is collected,managed and analyzed, which is intended to make all levels of decision-makers to obtain knowledge and insight, helping them to make more beneficial decisions for companies.With the development of information and communication technology, ERP has been popular in many Chinese enterprises, and amount of data coming into being.In more than ten years of the process of information, China Aerospace Science and Technology Corporation (CASC) has accumulated large amounts of data in the business process by ERP software. These data have immeasurable value to the development of enterprises.With the continuous expansion of enterprise scale and the growing competition for markets, it will be an urgent and complex conundrum about how the operations analysts provide the right information at the right moment to the decision-makers and how the decision-makers acquire the necessary information to aid in decision timely and accurately.Based on financial data center, BI system will improve the depth and breadth of financial analysis; make the accounting data coordinating and analyzing more comprehensive and accurate; auxiliary financial management, strengthen financial internal control, enhance the "information visibility"; display the economic operation situation of the group with intuitionist way from multi-dimensions, multi-level data integration to provide decision support to decision-makers.The decision-supporting problem on China Aerospace science and Technology Corporation (CASC) by BI platform is discussed in this paper. Firstly, the necessary and feasibility of BI platform construction is analyzed focus on application background of the finance department;Secondly, original data from ERP and other transaction process system (TPS) was extracted, cleaned, transformed and loaded into Data Warehouse (DW) which data was organized as subject-oriented, integrated and time-variant. By using DW, financial information of all levels of companies can be integrated and shared, and financial analysis can be progressed timely and accuracy. So credible reference information can be supplied executives to make smart decisions.At last, the research work was actualized according to the requirement of financial analysis of CASC with Data Warehouse, On-line Analytical Processing(OLAP)and Data Mining (DM) to transform the existing data to knowledge. Consequently, the BI platform based on finance department of CASC was accomplished.
