Modern coal mine enterprises own a wide range of electromechanical equipment, which are very expensive. Expenses of electromechanical equipment accounts for more than 40% of coal mining cost. Electromechanical equipment management quality directly relates to coal production efficiency and cost control. There is a widespread problem in most of coal mines in China, that is their equipment management system and concept has been lagging behind. In equipment manager work, there are many problems. In order to make coal mining equipment asset effectively exert its maximum potential, establishing scientific and perfect equipment management system and carrying through informatization construction, is an important research topic that coal mining enterprise managers are facing with.This paper describes international advanced equipment management theory, compares existing software systems at home and abroad, analyses current equipment management model and problems of coal industry in China; according to the characteristics of coal enterprises in China, proposes a new type of software design idea, that is developing software systems in line with characteristics of electromechanical equipment management of China's coal industry.Aiming at status of electromechanical equipment management of Shanxi lu'an environmental energy company-Changcun Coal, this paper studies its system development, gives emphasis to expatiate and discuss the target, design principles, system architecture and functional modules; analyses the requirements, system design and core business issues of the process of system implementation, and provides a concrete techniques of realization; focuses on presenting the implementation of several major functional modules. The system mainly adopts J2EE framework to develop equipment management subsystem and GIS technology to develop query visualization subsystem.The system draws on international leading device management ideas and integrates equipment management models and status quo of Changcun Coal. Centered around asset management of coal mine equipment, it achieves the whole process of dynamic management from planning purchase, stocking, tenancy, supply, using, maintaining, to supersession, so as to give full play to efficient use of equipment and make life cycle cost of equipment more economical. Meanwhile, coal-mining electromechanical equipment management and GIS combines, which relates equipment distribution map with system database to realize the visualization, dynamism, and concretization of equipment information. Compared with the traditional MIS, this is a first in the country. With the application of GIS in society more widely, coal mining equipment visualization management based on GIS technology is a useful visual exploration.
