In this paper, applying wavelet transform to image compression and error resilience coding is addressed. The classical image coding algorithms based on wavelet transform have been discussed, and through many image simulation results, the coding algorithms based on wavelet transform have great priorities over other image coding methods. When doing image compression work based on wavelet transform, we also put error resilience coding together, so as we transit images with minimum bits, and considering the error resilience function, we got high precision of transition bits.Furthermore, error resilience coding combined with wavelet image compression is also explored in the paper, which can improve error redundancy function and achieve higher bits transmission precision in scenario of low bit transmission.
