In recent years, along with the swift development of network service and computer technology, power companies have been around for a variety of energy data collection system construction, including:Public Distribution Transformer Data Acquisition System, Power Load Control and Management System, Electric Power User Meter Data Acquisition System, Grid-connected Plant Data Acquisition and Control System, Substation Data Acquisition System, Low-voltage Electric Power User Automatic Meter Reading System and so on. These power management systems have played very important roles, but because there is no uniform norm, pre-construction systems are independent, resulting in isolation running of each system, unable to achieve information sharing and comprehensive analysis. The power enterprise marketing management is increasingly sophisticated along with the introduction of Standard of Power Marketing Technical Support System. How to carry out systems integration, work processes standardization, and in-depth information excavation become to the question which each power enterprise needs to consider. For this question, this paper presents a Demand Side Management (DSM) System. This system can provide a more scientific basis for decision making by integrating all of the energy acquisition system, centralized control, centralized management, and in-depth information excavation.This paper carries on a more comprehensive elaboration to the design and realization of the DSM system. Firstly, systematically introduce the basic concepts as well as the present domestic development situation of the system. Secondly, details the requirement analysis, design, as well as the key model of the system, and introduces the security design of the system and so on. Finally, according to the general design scheme, describes in detail the design realization of the hardware and software platform for the system. According to the on-site monitoring data from Qingdao Power Supply Company, the design of the DSM system introduced in the paper is proven to be correct and highly-efficient.
