The Research And Design Of Campus Networks Intrusion Detection Technology

The openness of TCP/IP protocol results in that the Internet becomes the largest computer network in the world. At the same time, the openness brings lots of serious problems in security that attracted more and more attentions. Meanwhile, as the Internet is widely used in our daily life, especially in business area, the security problems will effect the future development of the Internet directly.With the further development of the information security techniques, a variety of security solutions have emerged and developed, such as Virtual Private Network, ANTI-HACKER technique, firewall and scanning to insecure factors in the whole system, detection, alarm, prevention. Intrusion Detection is one of the new network security techniques. By collecting and analyzing information from the key parts of network or the computer systems, this technique can help to discover whether there is any trace of illegal operation or attack, which further assures the security of information systems.This dissertation discusses the requests and characteristic of campus networks. According to the hardware facilities and specific conditions of Yulin Normal University's network, a network security scheme based on Intrusion Detection is proposed. A centrally managed security network model is built and a system is constructed to ensure the security of network systems.
