Research Of The Information Security System And Key Technology On Campus Network

Following the information and computer science development, the security of computer network becomes more and more important. The technology development of security area assures that network communication runs normally. The faster the development of campus network, the more dependent on internet security. The security threat of the campus network has become an issue of great concern. Therefore, the development of a security campus network system is of vital importance.The first purpose of this thesis is to analyze the current situation of network security, to introduce the conceptions of network information security, to formulate policy and procedures that meet the needs of campus network, and to provide a content model of the security system of campus network, which serves as a basic reference for further developing a concrete security system of campus network.Secondly, this paper provides a research finding and analogy of two key technologies of campus network: intrusion detection system (IDS) technology, and virtual private network (VPN) technology.Using Shenzhen Communist Party School as an example, this paper attempts to provide solutions, and methods for a campus network's security system. The VPN technology based on SSL will provide secure connection among the different sectors of campus, namely, Administration, Teaching and Residential/Service buildings. Other tools include firewall which builds the first security safeguard, and IDS that further strengthens the security protection behind the firewall, anti-virus system, etc. These will further strengthen the security audit function, protect data backup, calamity dada recovery and refurbishing of data center, ensure the security of the main network systems on campus.Brief evaluation of current research and future research topics are presented at the end of the paper.
