This paper has reaserched on the infrared wireless laser communication systems comprehensivly, and completed the design of optical transmitter and receiver.On the optical transmitter, we used CO2 laser as the light source, and introduced the advantages of CO2 laser in wireless optical communication, selected the suitable model; we used Acousto-Optic modulator to modulate CO2 laser, using the parameters of Acousto-Optic modulator we chosen, calculated the diffraction efficiency, diffraction angle,communication rate calculation, obtained 2MHz transmission bandwidth; Introduced the principle of optical antenna system and structure, designed the light transmitting antenna.On the Optical receiver, we used the non-coherent detection receiver mode,selected HgCdTe photoconductive infrared detectors, and have done a brief description about its advantages; Similarly, we designed the optical receiver antenna, and using its main parameters to do some calculating. In addition, we estimated the power of whole system were and analyzed the optical loss.
