Investigation On The Implementation Of The Law Of The Common Language In The Ethnic Minority Village In

The Mohan port in Sipsongpanna, as one of the major trading port in Yunnan border area, is the only port of first class national port from China to Laos. The National Common Language Regulations plays an important role in facilitating social communication, promoting national unity, safeguarding national unity, strengthening language standardization and management of language works according to the law and so on. In this paper, we set the Mohan port as the basement of our investigations,studying the implementation of the National Common Language Regulations at this port, to improve the survey of language situation in China and enrich the specific content of the construction of “Bridgehead” in Yunnan. This paper studies the implementation of the National Common Language Regulations in Mohan systematically and deeply by using the quantitative and qualitative analysis by SPSS and basing on the theories of social linguistics and applied linguistics and the data acquired in field investigation.In addition to the instruction and conclusion, this paper is divided into four chapters. The first chapter introduces the general situation of Mohan Port’s geography,population, nation and languages, in the hope of have a better understanding and study the implementation of National Language Regulations under the help of this information. It introduces the investigation of the implementation of National Common Language Regulations in Mohan Port in the second chapter. The third chapter is the main part of this study. It focuses on the analysis of the implementation effect of the National Common Language Regulations in Mohan Port, mainly relating to three aspects, such as the awareness of the National Common Language Regulations, the attitudes towards National Common Language Regulations and the carry-out situation of National Common Language Regulations. In the fourth chapter,it gives us the introspection on the implementation of National Common Language Regulations in Mohan Port and analyzes the basic characteristics, the problems and reasons in carrying out the National Common Language Regulations in Mohan Port,as well as trying to come up with the feasible suggestions for actualizing the NationalCommon Language Regulations.
