Sampling Study On The National Commonly-used Language In Uyghur Of Kashgar City

Investigation of the language is a fundamental category of sociolinguistics, the study of national language has come into a historical period, at the same time, the investigations of minority areas, such as Xinjiang, are also paid more attention by academic numbers, Kashgar, located in south of Xinjiang, is a most representative city of minority areas, where the situation of popularity national language is different,therefore, this paper describes common features of the situation on the usage of national language by investigating 305 native Uighur people in Kashgar from aspects of Language abilities, Language usage, Language learning and Language attitudes.Through compare the analysis of investigated information, we come to the following conclusions: the popularity rate of national language is low, and this situation is not for average; More people use national language in a more formal occasions; school is the primary place for national language study, and the chief barrier of national language learning is short of language circumstance; moreover, local people hold a optimistic attitude on national language teaching; and they have a correct understanding of it’s status and popularity. Overall, the popularizing rate of national language is still keeping a low state, plenty of questions exist in the procedure of popularizing of national language. According to the result of the investigation, we have put forward several strategies, in order to provide some reasonable references by collecting data and analyzing information.
