| As an important part of foreign students learning Chinese, the teaching of Chinese characters to foreign students is still regarded as an essential part of the learning of Chinese language by foreign students. Chinese characters are a type of logogram.The biggest difference of Chinese characters from other Phonic languages is that the character; the pronunciation and the meaning of a Chinese Character form an organic entity. That is, the origins of most Chinese characters are very well founded. The thorough understanding of the unique characteristics of Chinese characters and the application of the making of Chinese characters by the look of the objects will provide an excellent angle for enhancing the effectiveness of the teaching of Chinese characters.The thesis will focus on analyzing and answering the questions above. The impression that it is difficult to teach and learn Chinese characters lies majorly in the elementary stage of Chinese character learning. To solve the problem, we have to apply a suitable and practical set of teaching methodology in the stage so that the teaching of Chinese characters can get through the bottleneck and further develop. The thesis will use the first grade characters of 《Chinese Proficiency Vocabulary and Grade Outline of Chinese Characters》 as an example to come up with a categorization by Chinese characters based on the type of justifications for the Chinese characters in the book. In the analysis of the special formation in the Chinese characters and the cognitive style of the Chinese as a second language learners, the thesis has suggested principles for teaching of the nature of Chinese characters.Finally,in accordance with the teaching model and the foundation of the constructing rules of Chinese characters we have an instructional design based on the section Class B and Class A words. The thesis has also emphasized on the introduction of concrete application of teaching methods using the graphic method, the situational method, the classification method to investigate a scientific and practical way of teaching fundamental learning of Chinese characters. |
