| With the global increase of enthusiasm to Chineses language, more and more people begin to learn Chinese. Chinese Characters, as Chinese writing symbol system, are regarded the most difficult by most foreign students especially those from the Non-Chinese Character Cultural Sphere. In their opinion, there are too many characters with complicated strokes and various structure, and it’s diffucult to master because of its complex ideographic function. Since1990s, Chinese Character teaching to foreigners begins to attract researchers’ attention, researchers have made systematically study from different perspectives, such as Chinese character teaching theory, noumenal research on character, cultural teaching, character acquisition, and so on. From the whole situation of Chinese Character teaching to foreigners, researchers mainly focus on noumenal research on character and character teaching practice, while the applied research on primary school literacy teaching method is still in its initial stage. What’s more, it has fewer achievement, and the breadth and depth of the study need more effort. Chinese Character teaching to foreigners and Chinese primary school literacy teaching have some common points. With modern standard Chinese characters as the study object, both of them are guided by education, psychology and philology, and they follow the principle of gradual improvement. All these characteristics show that Chinese Character teaching to foreigners can take expample from domestic primary school literacy theory and teaching method. With the help of reasonable factors and successful practices of domestic character teaching of primary school, Chinese teachers can perfect the current Chinese Character teaching to foreigners.By attaching equal importance to both theory and practice and under the inspiration of Chinese character teaching theory and methods in domestic primary schools, this paper mainly focuses on the exploration and practice of teaching Chinese characters to zero-basis foreign students. The research findings will help to improve the weak points in teaching Chinese to foreign students and broaden and deepen the research fields of Chinese character teaching. Meanwhile, with good operability, this paper also provides feasible teaching measures for the practice of Chinese character teaching to foreign students.Based on theory and practice for Chinese character teaching to domestic primary school pupils, this paper explores Chinese character teaching to foreign beginners. The study results can offer beneficial reference in the teaching of Chinese as a foreign language as well as expanding and deepening the study on Chinese Character teaching to foreigners. It can also provide a practical design for teaching scheme while the method is operated easily. |
