The thesis mainly studies the deep-seated problems behind the subject of the military aid to China by the Soviet Union in the1950s, further digs into the reasons and aims of these problems. In addition, it summarizes the roles and lessons learned of the military aid to China by the Soviet Union. What makes it possible for us to think about some issues with Chinese military modernization development.In this paper, on the basis of largely collecting domestic and international literature, taking Marx’s historical materialism and dialectical materialism as a guide, comprehensively integrating discipline with the combination of methods, such as history, geopolitics, strategics, political economics ect., objectively analysing the international environment of the Soviet Union and China at that time, systematically observing and studying the specific issues on the military aid to China by the Soviet Union in the1950s, initially carrying on the preliminary research and discussion on the problems about the military aid to China by the Soviet Union in the1950s by means of historical analysis and inductive analysis, by studying the meaning of the military aid to China by the Soviet Union during this period, we conclude that today’s advanced military buildup of china should draw experiences and lessons and enlightenment. The thesis is composed of introduction, text, conclusion, appendix, notes and references.The introduction, by reviewing the history and comprehensively making a comment on the working of predecessors besides theoretical analysis, briefly presents the background and significance of this topics, the status of research, methods, thought and innovations.The main body is divided into three chapters:Chapter one, the thesis comprehensively analyzes the background and premise of the military aid to China by the Soviet Union in the1950s. This period has witnessed a highly volatile international situation, and it becomes increasingly acute that the socialist camp fights with the western coalition by a U.S.-led. Because of the same ideology and strategic interests, so the friendly cooperation between China and the Soviet Union has developed comprehensively. In the early decades of the founding of New China, it’s been a tough time, facing quite a rigorous international and domestic situation, but also the military buildup embarks on the difficult route under certain conditions pretty lack of all aspects. Back then, the military buildup of China solely can turn to the Soviet Union with a great power. At the juncture, it is greatly significant that the Soviet Union provides China with a large number of military aids. The main contents of this chapter are to analyze the general situation of the Soviet and China in the1950s, following the path from big to small. This section firstly analyzes the international environment including the characteristics of the times and international pattern. Then it analyzes the feasible factors (historical and realistic foundation) on further military cooperation between the two countries. Finally this part performs an analysis of certain aspects that the Soviet Union with strength is able to assist China and China carries a desperate desire to seek military aid.Chapter two, the section completely expatiates on the main contents and the approaches of the military aid to China by the Soviet Union. This part contains policies, ways and projects-specific of the military aid to China by the Soviet Union, including signing a series of military assistance agreement, helping to set up some military academies, cultivating various kinds of military personnel, reconstructing military industrial infrastructure, providing a large number of military equipment and technologies etc. Throughout the1950s, the Soviet Union provides New China with a vast scale and a huge amount of military aids, which are various in kinds, diverse in forms and abundant in contents. All of these not only ensure the safety of China’s new regime from power, as a practical and reliable means of maintaining the Soviet national interests, but also effectively enhance the mutual understanding and mutual trust, further promote the relations between the two countries’alliance to develop broader, deeper level. Chapter three, this section comprehensively evaluates the military aid to China by the Soviet Union. In line with the principle of "seeking truth from facts", the writer carries on the objective analysis and evaluation to the prominent characteristics and effects of the military aid to China by the Soviet Union, in addition, further study and analyze the lessons and enlightenment. In the last place, the part carries on a systematic analysis about the theoretical and realistic meaning of this problem. That gets us into thinking certain problems about the Chinese military modernization.There are about43000words in full text.
