Purpose:Buzhengxuguwan combined with point-through-point electroacupuncture was applied in the treatment of knee osteoarthritis based on the etiology and pathogenesis of knee osteoarthritis, in order to investigate the clinical curative effect and safety by evaluating knee joint WOMAC score and Lequesne score.Material and method: A total of 60 inpatients and outpatients were selected and randomly divided into the treatment group and control group using the random number table, with 30 cases in each group. The patients in control group were treated with point-through-point electroacupuncture combined with diclofenac for external use. The patients in the treatment group were treated with Buzhengxuguwan combined with point-through-point electroacupuncture combined with diclofenac for external use. The curative effect was evaluated in 15 d. The knee joint WOMAC score and Lequesne knee osteoarthritis score were taken as the curative effect evaluation indicators. The data were analyzed using the statistical software SPSS17.0.Results: 1.The patients’ symptoms were improved in both groups in 15 d. The comprehensive curative effect of WOMAC score showed that the total effective rate was 96.67% in the treatment group and the total effective rate was 76.67% in the control group; The comprehensive curative effect of Lequesne score showed that total effective rate was 100% in the treatment group and the total effective rate was 96.67% in the control group. 2.The pain, stiffness, daily activities and WOMAC total score in two groups were significantly decreased compared with before the treatment, which showed significant difference(P<0.05). The pain, stiffness, daily activities and WOMAC total score were significantly lower than those of the control group, which showed significant difference(P<0.05). 3.Lequesne scores in two groups were decreased after treatment, which showed statistical difference(P<0.05); Lequesne scores showed statistical difference between before thetreatment and after the treatment(P=0.002<0.01), suggesting that the treatments were effective in two groups and the treatment group’s curative effect was better than the control group’s.Conclusion: Buzhengxuguwan combined with point-through-point electroacupuncture in the treatment of liver and kidney deficiency type of osteoarthritis of knee joint has a good curative effect and has a curative effect, simple, small side effects, economic characteristics, it is worth further clinical promotion.
