An embedded system is defined as: a special computer system that adapts to strict demands of application system in function, reliability, cost, volume, activity consumption, centered on application, based on computer technology, software and hardware clipping. At present, the embedded system has been applied widely in various fields such as military defense, consuming electronics, network communication, industrial control and so on, owing to its outstanding characteristics of small volume, high ability, low power consumption, high reliability and practicality for industries. Embedded-chip-based industrial automation device has large space of development. Nowadays, embedded micro-controllers have found many uses in fields of industrial process control, numerical control machine tool, electric power system, electric network security, electric network device monitor, petroleum chemical industrial system and so on. However, there is not a set of good Internet appliance between Ethernet and Internet to deal with correspondent data in the industrial site bus, which is good for the data to communicate mutually between different nets. This paper is directed against this situation to design a kind of interface system that is ARM processor-based embedded Ethernet. This system uses S3C4510B in the ARM7 family as the core processor, and makes use of advantages of ARM processor, which is of high capacity, low activity consumption and low cost. The system extends communicative interfaces of CAN bus, 485 bus as well as Ethernet, and has completed system design, which makes it have the characteristics of high reliability, simple operation, easy maintenances and so on. This paper describes the feature of S3C4510B processor (ARM), the structure of system hardware and software compilation and so on. It treats that industrial control parameters route safety measures in different nets, and adopts correspondent methods to enhance parameters'routing security. This paper presents a focal study of CAN bus extensibility, its data and the communicative method of Ethernet, which solves problems of data transmission in different nets effectively.
