At present, compared with current theory and technology of wearable computers, wearable computers have reached a quite high degree. However, its applications are simple and weak, if we can install a practical application based on the SEWC, this will play an important role in the future development of wearable computers. So we present the idea of Guide Information System based on Supported Environment for Wearable Computer (SEWC). In this paper, we do studies on the system and some basic issues about it. Our main works are listed below: 1) At present, domestic research based SEWC are at first stage. This paper, gives a summary on Guide Information System based on the collection and reading about large numbers of professional journals. The summary consists of studies about definition, function, characteristics and key issues on the system. Toward the mixing point of the applications based on the SEWC and practical guide information system, we do quite deep researches, which establish the basis of the future researches. 2) This paper made a special study on the infrastructure of the system. The work including a cognition on requirement analysis about infrastructure of the system, a classification and framework analysis about devices in infrastructure of SEWC, a whole architecture design about the infrastructure of the system. All of it made reference to Intelligent Environment study by Oregon University. The infrastructure consists of the following five layers: physical layer, network layer, dynamical environment layer, context aware layer and service layer. 3) Based on the research above, and with the reference to the current guide information system, we establish the guide information system based on the SEWC. We divide the hardware of the system into four parts: wearable computer, wearable server, and embedded module and network communication. We also delaminate the software environment of the system, and give detailed analysis to the every layer. 4) On reference to many valuable papers about Context, Context-aware and Context-aware application models, this paper giving a classification on Context Information will be used in SEWC, presenting a Context-aware application model able to used in SEWC, designing the architecture about this model, and lastly describing a use case about this architecture in the infrastructure of SEWC. We analyze the dynamically loaded service and give the detailed flow of this problem. Some other key problems, such as real-time decision support, the quality of service, and cache management are also under the research.
