Nowadays, the IEEE802. 16a protocol has emerged as one of the premier technologies to deliver broad bandwidth access to the core networks by the Wireless MAN, which can provide low cost network construction and wide area network coverage for the carriers.By studying the character of IEEE802. 16a series protocol, especially at MAC layer, we provide the software implement of DSF operation based on the eCos.According to the Qos for four pre-defined service flows of the network, we compare algorithms used in IP and ATM networks, and apply Token bucket and SCFQ algorithm to the IEEE802. 16a bandwidth schedule design.The results of the experiments testify the practicability of our design. It can guarantee the Qos as we expect. Thus, the furher large-scale application is promising.
