A Research On A Mesh Routing Protocol Based On IEEE802.16d

The 21 st century is the information age with great development of the network. Internet of things for the future development of the society plays an important role with the development of networking technology. People have real-time wireless networks, mobility, reliability, robustness and other increasingly high demand. Demand in the wireless mesh network(Wireless Mesh Networks) came into being developed rapidly. It is a high real-time, mobile, self-organizing, self-healing network and has outstanding performance. As the transmission standard, its MAC layer protocols and network layer routing protocol has been a hot research topic.This paper first studied on the MAC layer protocol IEEE802.16 d principle, and according to the structure and mesh mode protocol on the NS2 simulatio n software platform for the existing agreement patch ns2mesh80216 deficiencies, design new functional modules, then integrate the various modules compiled into NS2. The new modules make up for the lack of ns2mesh80216 and it can be used to build normal mesh network and to support a variety of routing protocol for data exchange.For the network layer routing protocol, the subject selected newer BATMAN, and its shortcomings has been optimized in two ways: on the one hand, for the shortcomings in the routing protocol on the proposed improved algorithm, the new routing metric, and modify the data packet routing table format, improved route discovery packet data processing, designed and implemented based on the overall quality of transmission link routing protocol GLQB-BATMAN(Global link quality based-BATMAN); on the other hand, for the realization of the heterogeneous network mesh network node fast communication between nodes and non-mesh network designed to carry information gateway packet types GW-OGM, again to improve and perfect the packet routing table and packet processing, to achieve a gateway discovery GLQB-BATMAN routing function has protocol.IEEE802.16 protocol develops the new modules, and routing protocol GLQBBATMAN are tested on NS2 simulation software platform.They has been tested and analyzed to build a scene instance, proving the availability of IEEE802.16 protocol module. Combined with protocol BATMAN and AOMDV, GLQB-BATMAN and two protocols performance in different situations are measured, and we find it in the packet delivery ratio, end to end delay and jitter have shown better, GLQBBATMAN has more stable characteristics.
