It is important to know the speciality of artillery's trajectory, to improve the precision of shot that exact mensuration of artillery's muzzle velocity which is deeply depend on the well and truly ascertain of fire time.There are many obvious disadvantages in using the infrared starter to measure the artillery's muzzle velocity. On the basis of wavelet localization characteristic and the relation of wavelet module maximum and signal singularity, this paper put forward a new method: the wavelet transform is applied in a Doppler speed estimation radar. The method can detect accurately and localize precisely the transient feature of the Doppler speed estimation radar with wavelet transform, extract the points of fire time, replace the infrared starter and provide the initial time points of each pill for radar, realize and optimize the wavelet arithmetic in C6000.On trajectory theory and radar equation, build the model of pill velocity rule, imitate artillery echo, complete the arithmetic simulation of analog signal source.The simulation result shows that the method can effectively extract the fire points of each pill, and has the high locating precision.
