Because the Linux is outstanding in many ways,in recent years,the em bedded Linux has become the public focus.But the Linux is a kind of gen eral using operating system,does not have the ability of real-time. In order to get the Linux real time application in the field of communication, we m ust change the Linux from general operating system to a real-time one,mee ting the demand of communication application. Developing a kind of gener al platform based on the embedded Linux and others must accelerate the d evelop of the upper level business software, convenient the transplantation of applications,most important of all reduce the costs.This dissertation analyzes the advantages of the embedded Linux to be the embedded operating system,and carries on the thorough analysis of the factors that affect the real-time ability of Linux and the kernel scheduling mechanism,then points out bugs of the kernel, gives a kind of feasible rea l-time project based on cases.This project adds the judge of preempt_count after interrupt,and modifies the scheduling arithmatic.Subsequently,we put forward the total frame and blue print of telecom munication-oriented embedded software platform,which can cross over differ ent operating systems and provide uniform interface applied in communicati on field. The platform also provides some supporting software module spec ially designed for telecommunication application.Such as concurrent manage ment of task,message communication between tasks,and timer service.Then,we analyse the main modules and improve the method. Finally,w e give a brief prospect of this platform.
