The kernel of hardware in embedded system is embedded microprocessors, which usually have some characters such as architecture extendable, low power absorption and real time multitask supported. ARM, the RISC processor, because of its cost-effective, low power and simple, has been particularly suitable for designing embedded systems. On the other hand, to meet the need of real-time multitasking, embedded Real Time Operating System (RTOS) is becoming popular. μC/OS-II is a good choice for Real Time Operating Systems, which has the characters such as small codes, open and free source codes, stable performance and easy to port. The dissertation is mainly on the topics of the hardware and software design of ARM and the course of porting μC/OS-II to S3C44B0X.First, the architecture and instruction set of ARM are introduced. Then, based on S3C44B0X, whose core is ARM7TDMI, three hardware platforms for FH-SS control module are designed and debugged with bottom drivers, and the whole debug flow and codes in detail are given too. Last, the modules of μC/OS-II are introduced, and the courses and methods of porting μC/OS-II to S3C44B0X are discussed in detail. The dissertation is very useful to embedded system freshers and developers. It can help them rapidly grasp the main feathers and important places in hardware design and programming of embedded low drivers in embedded system.
