With the deterioration of the urban ecological environment day by day, the function of the urban greenbelt system becomes more and more important. In order to research the ecological benefits of greenbelt better, we take Harbin as an example and set up an urban greenbelt entironment space information system under modern high-new technical supporting, to imitate and express the distribution and structure of urban greenbelt system, the thermodynamic field pattern of the city, the relationship between greenbelt and urban heat island effect, to know the current situation of urban green entironment better, then offer essential message to the people of urban green ecosystem building and plan decision.At first, the thesis set up a spatial database about urban greenbelt information based on 3S. Research the method to draw greenbelt information and thermodynamic field information through satellite photo and aviation photo. With the aid of Geomedia component, we realize the unified management of figure data and attribute data. Adopting GIS peculiar method of regional frame combine layer to organize the data, we formed the spatial database through the choice of the data source, data coordinate translation, data format translation, spatial data register, etc. The database include the following content: thematic data of the urban greenbelt information, thematic data of the urban heat island effect, the urban integrated data of 26 layer, vector data of 6 layer, 50 trees detailed information.Afterwards, on the basis of multi-disciplinary research results, such as landscape ecology, botany, etc. we set up appraisal models database about greenbelt information. Appraisal models including the traditional greenbelt structure, appraisal model on the basis of landscape ecology, such as landscape diversity model, landscape consistency model, etc. greenbelt functional model, such as absorbing carbon dioxide model, lowering the temperature model, etc. virescence trees choice model.Finally, we adopted self-defining secondary development method to form the software of urban greenbelt ecological information appraisal system based on Geomedia component. With it user can realize the ordinary function of desktop GIS software, such as display the geographical data of different data source, data edit, query, spatial analysing, visualized customizing window, attribute data management, etc. It can also imitate Harbin ecological environment, query and appraise greenbelt space structure, query urban temperature in order to analyse urban heat island effect, analyse and appraise urban greenbelt function about absorbing carbon dioxide, lowering temperature, etc. choose virescence trees based on virescence type.The thesis synthetically used GIS technology, RS technology, secondary development technology, database technology. Through computer to realize multi-disciplinary knowledge such as landscape ecology, botany, etc. This widen the application of existing technology, have significant meaning to guide city virescence and urban planning.
