| It has been introduced in the paper of NT technology on the aspect of it's composition with GIS, the most great part of my work is on the research of component based software development and the lease is on the introduction of the importance and development of GIS. With the design of an urban planning information system, one can be clear about the way we do our development of software based on component, and the following problems have been solved: (1)we research component based application development model according to the analysis of the urban planning technology in the domain of GIS; (2)with the analysis of the urban planning technology in the domain of GIS, we gave our resolution of an embedding-component based GIS software development; (3)we also designed an urban planning management information system, in which we expressed it's object and functional setting. (4) The main part of the functional module has been explained.
