With the rapid development of science and technology, information system has played increasing important role in different sectors of society and different walks of life, even been crucial to each and every one of us. Therefore the security of data, the most significant component, has been attached the great importance to by all the people. At present, not just ordinary computer users but many companies store the data in computer, so how can we quickly and correctly recover the data once our computers or software systems make mistakes inevitably which will surely lead to the data loss, becomes fairly important to everyone and every company. Thus the technology of data recovery comes into being and becomes increasing crucial to the single computer user and even our country.The work I've done is as followed:Analyze and compare various kinds of current commercial data recovery software, classify them as disk recovery and data recovery —these two main kinds—by their main functions, and then compare the advantages and disadvantages of these two kinds.Come up with a new kind of technology which combines those two kinds of functions: disk recovery and data recovery. This technology makes data recovery software more powerful and more perfect, changes the situation that we must alternate many kinds of software in our routines so inconveniently.Design the "Disk Guard" data recovery system as a whole, including: thedefinition and organization of data structure of the system, the design of every function module of the system, the design of software and hardware environment of the system.Design the arithmetics of function modules of the system, including: "the arithmetic of recovering DBR without copy", "the arithmetic of converting Dynamic Disk into Basic Disk", "the arithmetic of rebuilding the DPT by complete scan of Sectors", "the arithmetic of hiding and activating the disk" and so on. Especially, the design and realization of "the arithmetic of recovering DBR without copy" makes this data recovery system recover lots of DBR, while Diskedit, belonging to the kind of "recovering DBR with copy", could not do. The design and realization of "the arithmetic of rebuilding the DPT by complete scan of Sectors" makes this data recovery system avoid missing disks while scanning totally, while DiskGenius, belonging to the kind of "rebuilding the DPT by scan of cylinders", could not do. All the modules prove to be highly-qualified and stable in our routines.Finally we accomplished "Disk Guard" data recovery system, based on thatnew kind of technology, the design of the system as a whole and the arithmetics ofthe modules.
