With the rapid development of science and technology, the world has stepped into information times. Electromagnetic environment in the limited space is seriously polluted because of the spread and application for various information products. Electromagnetic Interference (EMI) not only damages or cuts down working performance of electronic equipment, but also does great harm to human health. In order to solve the electromagnetic pollution problem, 3C certification (China Compulsory Certification, abbreviated as 3C) is compulsively applied to electronic products in China. It is well known that EMI exists in two types, radiation and conduction. For radiation EMI, electromagnetic shield is one mode of protection, but for conduction EMI, filtering is the most effective protective method. For a whole system, various EMI is the most serious at the interface. It is the "window" of EMI entry and exit for electronic and electrical equipment. So the connectors with filtering features can greatly conform to Electromagnetic Compliance (EMC) of electronic products.The new kind of filtering connector analyzed in the essay is developed for the purpose of EMC. It integrates filter and connector, which can effectively solve the "window effect" of EMI and reduce size of CBU (complete built-unit) and cost for solving EMC, and help CBU to pass EMC certification. The main features of filtering connector are just as follows:1 .Functions as normal connector and filterFiltering connector can realize normal connection and disconnection between CBU system and signal input and output, and also prevent interfering signal frompassing.2.Reasonable and advanced structureAccording to different requirements for filtering features by CBU system, it is equipped with different filtering components and filtering circuits structure ( mainly type "C" and type " n ").3.Convenient for useThe Filtering connector analyzed in this essay is researched and developed based on unchanged interface size in the CBU system. Thus it is very convenient to replace normal connectors with the filtering connectors.At the basis of practical engineering and related filter theory, this essay describes the whole processed from product design to its application.In the stage of design, according to the specific requirements for filtering feature by CBU system, the design plan is finally confirmed by applying of working theory of low-pass filter and by comparative analysis of various of digitalized equivalent circuit. This plan confirms design structure of individual filtering contacts firstly, and then confirms the general design structure of filtering connector according to the quantity of filtering contacts required by CBU system and the detailed requirements for interface size.In the stage of production, the filtering connector is produced according to the specific design structure and related production process.In the stage of product acceptance, the products are to be inspected, measured and tested so as to confirm whether they reach the expected goals.In the stage of application, with the feedbacks from users collected, the products are to be overally evaluated.At present, the research accomplishment has already been provided to military user and gained user's high evaluation. Now it has been put into mass production and available in the market, and gained some economic profit. It can also be promoted and popularly used in the civil communication market.
