The Design And Implementation Of The Cable Digital STB

With the development of Digital television technology, CATV Network is transmitting from TV to digital TV. The most important terminal device, which takes us integrated information business is Digital STB (set top box). It is a consumption electric product, which can provide digital television program and interactive digital amusement service.After introduction of the cable digital STB's definition, function and applied situation in this article, the design and implementation of the Set top box which based on ST scheme is described. This article is divided into three parts: In the first part, the development situation of digital television technology is introduced. In the second part, the technology and standards that are used in the set top box is described.In the third part, the design and implementation of the Set top box is fully detailed, including the whole design of the set top box and the implementation of the hardware and software platform. At last, the design of set top box is summarized.
