The Study On Catalog System Of Tang And Song Encyclopedias (Leishu)

Encyclopedia is a widely quoted in the content of reference books,it processed and r estructured many documentation in ancient books and records,set up a system of categori es,to form their own category system.Compilation of the books is getting more and more prosperous in Tang and Song dynasties, the method and the idea of compilation also co me to maturity.This article will focus on Tang and Song dynasty mainly comprehensive r eference books,Specialist reference books would not be the object of study,to discuss the ancients’ traditional cognitive structure where embodied in its category system.The first two chapter is the research on General discussion and comparison of the r eference books category system in Tang and Song dynasty.The first chapter discuss the Characteristics of the Tang reference books,and makes a comparative study on the catego ry system in <Huang Lan> and four reference books in Tang dynasty.The second chapter discuss the Characteristics of the Song reference books,<Tai Ping Yu Lan> is main rese arch object,and study the category system in Song dynasty with Tang dynasty on the inh eritance and innovation,to grasp the change and development of the category concept fro m Tang dynasty to Song dynasty.The third chapter is the research on the ancients’traditional cognitive structure from the philosophy, Confucianism and the stylistics which the the reference books category s ystem contain.The purpose is to seize the ideas of classification and sequence in Tang a nd Song reference books.
