The investigation of audience complexion has always been a very important resource to TV media to figure out audience opinion and the status of media market. The appearance of internet provide a totally new platform for the investigation of TV media: TV media could understand the opinions of audience on media, channel, program with pertinence through the online investigation on its own website; the classical characters of internet such as running at real time not only make the investigation easier to develop, but also smooth the most difficult parts in it. But the fact is, the results of the investigations on Internet show great differences with those results finished by some other traditional ways. So, it is inconsistent that on one hand, TV media need to get information through Internet investigation, on the other hand, the results of this investigation are questionable. Consequently, it is a very practical to research the otherness of Internet investigation of TV media from the point of view of TV media itself. This article divided several kinds of the otherness mentioned above, analyzed them through real example, expatiated the deeply causes with communication theory and finally, brought forward that TV media should hold a dialectic attitude for internet investigation, and gave some suggestion.
