Considering the shaft safety monitoring status quo and the existing main problem, we designed this shaft safety monitoring and alarming system which integrates modern signal gathering technology, signal transmitting technology, computer information processing technology and computer network technology. The system, which collects the field data through all kinds of sensors, and then transmits the monitoring data to the surveillance computer by the communication distributed stations, combines shaft body deformation monitoring and local bearing monitoring. The system can register, process and memory the monitoring data together and alarm completely, real time and automatically. On basis of this, the surveillance computer will send the related information to the local area network so that the related workers can browse, inquire about and control the system by the network. The system satisfies the production units' demand that it can monitor the shaft working state completely, real time and chronically. This paper mainly introduces the choice of the system project, communication distributed station, intelligent sensor, communication interface and the method of the surveillance computer software, working principle, realizing method, the related hardware circuit and the design of the software working flow. The system optimizes the traditional shaft safety monitoring system. It combines many kinds of monitoring techniques and realizes automatization, intelligence, modularization, hiberarchy and network and has great value of social generalization.
