In recent years, with the development of networking and intelligentizing and with the application technology rapidly facing with the high performance, multiplicity, and multi-purpose, many large-scale science computations not only merely need one high performance computer, but also need networking supercomputers with many machines composing, many systems cooperating and many science instruments connecting. The application requests many kinds of computing resources, though they distributing in geography and not simulating in construction, to be connected through high speed network and to complete the computing task together. Under this background the Grid was born. Its goal is to connect and integrate together high performance computers, data servers, lager-scale memory system, visible realization systems, and so on, through high speed network, and to complete some significant research questions which are lack effective research method. Using massive computing resources, rich developing tools, and friendly man-machine surface, and all kinds of information system of different performance and function, carrying on high performance parallel and distributed computing, we can find the solution of many significant science problem, such as nucleus simulation, meteorology and so on. The application of the Grid technology in the manufacturing industry has offered a public platform of Grid for manufacturing industry. This platform regards common used network as base, various manufacture resources as joint, mid-ware of the Grid platform as bridge, market as opportunity, makes up the fictitious organization dynamically with the distributed and different constructed resources, realizes resource in share, designs in coordination, and makes in coordination, achieves the purpose of reducing the manufacturing cost, raising the resource utilization ratio, and accelerating the listing time of the products. In this paper, the Grid technology is applied to the engineering of the mould manufacturing, and the systematic mode of designing computing application of the Grid making platform has been put forward. This paper has done three respect works mainly as follows: First of all, the Grid is a integrated environment of calculation and resource, it can fully absorb all kinds of to calculating resources, and transform them into a kind of available, reliable, standard, and economic computing capability. The engineering of the mould manufacturing is a comprehensive system engineering which includes machinery, electron, chemistry, optics, material, computer, accurate monitoring and information network ,etc. and its development trend is that mould products are developing towards larger-scale , more accurate , more complicated and more economic. The appearance of the Grid can well meet the demand in the mould manufacturing process. Therefore, this paper uses Globus as the mold design frame of the platform's ground floor and puts up the experimental environment. Secondly, under such a large-scale environment with different construction, the information security seems particularly important. Under the environment of Grid, with AAA technology, authentication, visit control, and accounts keep are realized. In this paper, the first two have been designed as follow: (1) Offer the solution of authentication, and allow users including course and its resource prove the identity. In the past, logging into a computer system is through offering user name and password, but in the Grid's distributed environment authentication have to do more. This paper realizes the definitely correct use authentication through granting the certificate for users, and realizes the uses single log-in through setting agent, and realizes the optimizing resource authentication route through using Hufferma tree. (2) Authentication has formed the foundation of the safe policy, which makes all safe policies integrated as an overall frame. Authorizing function can restrain security mechanism of a legal entity's behavior and operation, in other word, it authorizes to legal users'ask and visit. In this paper, "authorizing"refers particularly to visit control, mainly the visit control to software resources. This paper uses the Authentication based on role, makes ticket as the authorize evidence. Meanwhile, it is very important functions that the task is scheduled and load is balanced. According to the network task submitted by users, task scheduling can analyze the task in detail, and find out about the resource situation and load situation correctly of each node, and release the works onto each node, then carry them out, return the result back to users. In addition, it also could offer the resource booking, in order to meet with user's needs. But users could choose when using the resources. To elect the eligible nodes from numerous resource ones, there should offer integrated platform service, therefore information collecting seemed to be more important. Information service can offer that includes collection, monitoring, registering, finding, ordering and searching, etc. According to the specific design environment of this paper, the ISS information collecting service has been proposed. The main functions are as follows: (1) Organization of resource information. Resource being abundant in the Grid, we can regard everything in the Grid as service, so this demands to have a unified form to show user's information, this form can be received by service. And XML is the most frequently used form in the Grid, to that the software hardware that users referred to demands to carry on the organization, and it can organize the demands of software and hardware and support ISS inquiry.
