Spandex is a very important product in chemical fiber production. It is widely used in many fields, e.g., clothes and iatrical materials. The production of spandex is a important part of our country's chemical fiber industry and also makes great influence of the position of our chemical fiber industry in the world. At the same time, it can bring us a large number of incomes. However, it's difficult to produce spandex. The demand of technology especially control technology is strict. So it brings difficulty in production. The work of this paper in order to resolve two primary questions in the third and fourth spandex product line of Liaoyuan Deheng Company: design of DCS control system and production process optimization. The company's first and second line use PLC and ASTNEX control system, but it has disadvantages of difficult to use with Japanese system. The other shortcoming is that the equipments had been stopped using. The most important thing is the system has had trouble several times which made great economic loss. At the same time, there is time wasting in the producing process. To solve these questions, here we propose design DCS system to control the product line of spandex and make process optimization. The main tasks are generalized as: 1. We bring forward the scheme of using DCS control system to control the product line based on the intrinsic technics by researched the company's product line in using. 2. With made meticulous research in technics, we collected statistics system control variable, schemed the system hardware equipments selection. And also includes such works: HMI configuration, program software, program debugging such as computer simulation, confederate simulation and spot commissioning. And we also built INTRANET based on DCS system in order to make the management of the company convenient. We gave the company's technicians train and technical data. 3. Made research on the basis theory of process optimization such as: the basis problem of optimization, the content of chemical process optimization, target function, the questions to pay attention to and restriction. Also studied the method, format and the problems to think to build of the mathematical model. 4. By researched the process of the produce and the technics, we developed an optimization strategy with consideration of the process constraints which based on the polycondensation process. A comprehensive mathematical model with bounded decision variables. Various tools are used to solve the resulting optimization problem, such as OCFE method, SQP method...
