The Design Of Web-Based Orange Planting Expert System And WebGIS-Based Soil Resource

The extension of the technology of the modern computer and network has offered essential terms for agriculture information. It is impossible to meet the demands of agricultural modernization only relying on the traditional method of obtaining information. There are some limitations about our managing method of traditional agriculture. It shows in blindness on decision-making, low efficiency and low quality on spread scientific research achievement. All of the cannot suit the demand of modernization. Expert system technique provides a new idea and means to deal with the complicated agricultural problem. On the fully basis of investigating and comparing the foreign and domestic crop production management expert system, the orange planting expert system can be run on the network which bases on Browser/Web Server/Database structure and GIS technology, etc. This article mentions the designing of knowledge base, reasoning machine, database, rule base and its management system. The soil resource information, related with the orange planting, has been issued based on WebGIS. It lets the agricultural expert move towards the countryside through the network technology, and the distance is getting shorter between agricultural experts and farmers, science technology and agricultural production practices. The share range of agricultural information is expanded also. This article has completed some main research work as follow.1. Based on Browser/Web Server/Database structure. It can meet the demands of different grade network environment of basic unit at present, and help to popularize and apply this system further.2. According to the characteristic of period of orange growing, the orange planting expert system, which adopts the design method of module and assemble, has been designed into seven main parts, such as summarization, biological characteristic and planting management, etc. It can provide all kinds of demand information to different users, meanwhile, suit people's dispersing, randomness and jumping thinking.3. Reasoning machine is designed based on producing type of forward reasoning. The orange nutrition, plant diseases and insect pests can be diagnosed in long-distance through Internet. Owing to the way of reasoning machine separated from rule base, it is easier to manage and update the rule base.4. The county degree of soil resource information consulting system based on MapXtreme is designed for the first time, and has been published through the website of Central China Agricultural Information Net (www.ccain.net). Taking the reservoir region of Three Gorges and surrounding areas as an example, the soil space and attribute information can be synthesized effectively, analyzed and processed in this system. At the same time, soil resource information is offered to local administrators, agronomy technicians and farmers in order to guiding orange planting in science.5. The system management platform with perfect function is provided, which makes the maintenance and expansion more convenient and efficient.
