With the development of computer technology, the application of the information technology in the agriculture is becoming more and more wide, the main purpose combining Computer graphics technology, Virtual Reality and agriculture scientific research product is to resolve the problem how to make the extraordinarily complicated agriculture information shown in the computer in the way of Visualization ,which provided a easily handled , controlled and interactive platform for the study of various problems in the agriculture ,such as morphological structure and dynamic change And produces data interesting the agronomist to use for study.Virtual Reality technology provides new method for visualization research in various fields including Agriculture.Virtual Plant is the application of Virtual Reality technology in Agriculture area.It simulates the growing process of plants in Three-Dimension Space in Computer,and reflects the morphological architecture rules of plants.In addition,it is a newly-rising research area as the development of information technology and has become one of the focuses in Computer Science area.Visualization technology belongs to inter-disciplines , relating to computer graphics , image treatment, computer-aid design, computer vision and artificial intelligence and so on. It has changed the traditional methods and means of Agricultural research ,which can help people know and understand the basic law and quantization relation in plant growth process much better and forecast the development behavior and ultimate output in process of plant growth . It provides especially convenient for agriculture studies The high-efficient means have a deep effect on the aspects such as plant growth mechanism , cropping guides ,accurate agricultural technique .The science Visualization technology uses computer graphics and handled image technology to make complicated science phenomenon and natural landscape graphical then discover scientific laws or grasp complicated concept directlyNot only so many methods and models of simulating plant have been advanced but also the development of simulating software for plant. Nowadays, there are two mainly study direction .The first is the simple imitate of the appearance of plant .the second is true plant growth process simulation attaching importance to botany theory. This Virtual plant Visualization study belongs to the first direction which is supposed to be one of the core content that the agriculture studies and the essential part of agriculture information study.The job in this dissertation simply introduces recent achievements and progresses in plant growth simulation,and then research the Multi-grain model of virtual plant growing process from the view of the morphogenesis model and visualization model,in which the Multi-grain means the demonstration of virtual plants in various angles.From a whole plant to parts, the Multi-grain model is able to demonstrate the mechanism and morphology of plants in different levels. the general method of transforming Dual-Scale Automation Model to L-system which enhances the modeling efficiency by these two modeling method completing each other was proposed.
