Product reliability is a comprehensive index for the product quality. It is of importance to improve the reliability because it helps improve the product quality, lower the cost and upgrade the competition ability both in local market and abroad. The basis of the reliability research for a corporation is to administrate the reliability data scientifically and analyze statistically. The current condition and the hidden trouble of reliability of the product must be researched in order to upgrade the product reliability. And the trouble-shooting should be carried on throughout the process of the product design, manufacture, and administration and checking. The enhancement of computer technology helps administrate and analyze the reliability data and information more convenient by introducing computer into such researches. The computer-based research overcomes much difficulty that occurs in the manual way, and it ensures the veracity of computing. According to the practicality of reliability engineering, based on the theory of statistically deducing life distribution and the sophisticated database management system, the dissertation develop "Product Reliability Data & Information Management and Analysis System", which consists of the subsystem of the reliability data & information management and the reliability data analysis. The subsystem of data & information management acts as a monument room of data and manages quantities of effective data both from the field and the laboratory. These data include the reliability data, which can be used into analysis, and all types of text, video, and audio information, which can be used into failure analysis. The subsystem of data analysis deduces life distribution type and estimates the parameters roughly according to the data from the field data and the test data, and hypothesis test ascertains the distribution. Finally the subsystem chooses the best type and gives a reasonable point estimation and bounds estimation. The dissertation supplies practical examples and employs Weibull++ software to test how well the reliability analysis runs. The results show that the system enjoys fairly high veracity.
