Quotation is the first step that mold corporations come into contact with its customs, and also it is the critical aspect that determines whether the mold corporations can obtain the orders and get profit from the mold make. There are many uncertainties in the mold quotation, due to the variety of the mold shape and structure; moreover, the factors that may affect the mold price are too many. Mold quotation is a hard work to the mold factories for a long time. With China's participation in the WTO, competition in the mold industry become increasingly fierce, quotation period is sharply shorted, and the mold buyers require the mold factories to quote in every particular. All about that make the quotation that calculated by experience and hand can not satisfy the quotation require. The need of mold quotation software that can quote in customs require is urgent for the mold corporations. So, it is essential to further study the mold quotation, and find the quotaion method that satisfy the current mold quotation need.This dissertation focused on the injection mold, and at first analyzed the mold cost construction and the quotation requires of the mold buyers. At present, mold buyers require the mold corporations to offer the details of the quotation, such as standard parts, man hours of the each manufacturing means, man hour cost, and so on. The dissertation built up the mold quotation method that can satisfy the customs requires based on the cost accounting that was done after the mold make. In this dissertation, cost budget consists of four categories, cavity/core, mold base, standard features and other fees. The dissertation brought forward the concept of standard feature, in order to fulfill the requires that mold makers need to offer the standard parts details in the quotation. When we have determined the standard parts, we also have determined the manufacturing cost to the mold relating to the standard parts. For calculating the cost of the cavity/core, the dissertation brought forward the concept of volume rate for roughing, and the concept of surface rate for finishing, which embodied the real manufacturing of the mold. So the results are reasonable. For the fact that we use this way to calculate the mold price we need to have some mold experience, the dissertation used the CBR to predigest the data determine. So, we can use the historical information to help us in mold quotation. At last, the dissertation developed the injection mold quotation system based on web, using the ASP.NET technology, VB.NET language, and Access2003 database management system. And fulfilled the injection mold quotation through software and network means.Although the dissertation studied the injection mold only, the method we studied is also the reference to the other mold quotation.
