An Analysis On Reform Of The Layout Language In Front Page Of Xiaoxiang Morning Herald

In 1990's, with the rise of the city newspaper, which makes the competition in Chinese newspaper industry even fiercer. Various newspapers adjusted their marketing strategy to contest the limited market quota and readers. And various newspapers paid more attention to layout language, particularly the design of front page, which is one of the representations in adjusting. This phenomenon made the layout research be a continuous hot spot in the academic filed. However, there is little layout language research on Hunan's newspapers, and there is empty of the quantitative examination on layout language of front page.The development of Xiaoxiang Morning Herald is more rapid than others in Hunan. Through studying the layout language of front page, I try to make a search for the representation and the reason of revision since it initiated, and analyzes the significance of layout language changes in this paper. I presume upon offering the supplement for the research of layout theories on Hunan's newspapers, furthermore, offering some reference for the else's improvement.This paper adopts the content analysis. There are three chapters in the paper.Chapter â…  reviews the history of Hunan's newspaper industry, presents the condition, and summarizes three typical newspapers including their layout styles in Hunan province. There is also a brief introduction about the general circumstance of Xiaoxiang Morning Herald in this chapter.
