Research And Application Design Of Backup And Resotre Of Database System

Backup and restoration of database system is very important part in daily work in many commercial banks. In this thesis, we introduce the backup and restoration of the computer system in commercial bank, which is implemented through EMC TimeFinder software on Oracle database. So far, it has been running about one year, the reflection from user is good, and the target of design is achieved.Starting from author's practical work, this thesis discusses and analyses the theory, techniques, method and application of the backup and restoration of database system after researching the backup and restoration of Oracle database system.The thesis is organized as follow:Chapter 1 introduces the background and contents of the research. Chapter 2 describes the concepts of the backup and restoration, and analyses the factors influencing data security, and gives the survey on current situation of backup and restoration of database system. Chapter 3 introduces the integrated operation system in bank, gives the survey and functions of this system, and analyses the target requirement of the backup and restoration. Chapter 4 gives the whole design scheme of the backup and restoring database system, including the design principle and thought. Chapter 5 gives the implementation of the backup and restoring database system, including the hardware environment construction, building BCV (Business Continuance Volume) through Symmetrix enterprise storage system, application of BCV, and testing bank application software by BCV.
