With the development of vehicle production progress, detailed manufacturing has become the target to reform automobile industry. Manufacture execution system (MES), as a connecting link between the preceding and the following in the manufacture, is becoming more and more important in promoting informationize of automobile manufacturing. Precision and integrity of source data makes the foundation of stable operation of MES, so, how to protect the data and make sure the system operating security is a main problem faced by the automakers.In this paper, we take the Manufacture execution system (MES) of Dongfeng Yueda Kia Mobile Company (DYKMC) as a model, discussing the strategy programming and implementamtion of data protection in two steps. First, combing with the safety features and backup tools of the database, high-security and high-efficiency backup strategy can be defined; second, basing on the planning of hardware and sofware and existing strategy, system architecture with high availability can be constructed. Finally we can bring down the risks and losses bringing with production interruption, when system hardware and software breakdown.So far, data protection strategy of MES defined in this paper has been put into effect and stably running, it has been proved effective and has some significance in mobile industry.
