Since the entering of WTO, the banks in China began to construct their own information and technology center, accompanied by which the high availability of data system becomes the focus of bank technology department. Here the high availability of bank data system mainly comprises usability, high availability, high available computing, service, continuum, fault tolerance, disaster tolerance, capacity, security, manageability and quality of staff. Once the high availability of data system is assured, the information and technology center could operate efficiently.This thesis is done according to the author's four years' working experience in constructing the high available data system in the south-west information and technology center of a certain bank.The construction of high available bank data system is a significant project involving many aspects such as managing, decision making of technical plan, system designing, implementing and testing. The sound management is the guarantee of quality, which makes the project carry on smoothly and regularly. In the aspect of deciding the technical plan, we should not only take into consideration the advanced technique, but also the maturity and reliability of this technique, the usability of existing facilities, the compatibility of new equipments andsustainability of final system. At the stage of project implementation, in order to ensure the security of project we scheme out an integrated system testing plan, and provide the complete testing to the capability, function and security of this system. All above are the reliable guarantee of constructing the high available bank (or other industries) data system.This thesis emphasizes on the design and realization of the high available bank data system. In the light of the author's working experience, it particularly discusses the techniques abort storage server, SAN and the backup and recovery in Oracle database. In terms of these techniques and the limitation of original redundancy, it puts forward the new redundancy policy in a way based on the mirror image and Oracle's backup and recovery technique, and achieves satisfactory effect. Through it, the data variance resulted by original redundancy policy is solved so that the high availability .of data gets further assurance.This thesis introduces the general structure of this system, the realization of redundancy policy based on the mirror image and Oracle's backup and recovery, and the implementation of several subsystems. Meanwhile, it establishes a usable mathematics model for this data system and analyses its safety, reliability and usability, by which the complete testing is followed.This system has been testified by tens of hitches these years, and meets the actual requirements both in capacity and capability. The successful realization of this system offers the helpful experience and technical support for the new data system.
