In the group, people take effect on eachother, and today, with the growing specification of the society responsiblesharing, our society has become into an interdependent close group.Especially the information society incarnates that people's way of life andlabor has the characters of group, interaction, distribution and cooperation.To complete the common work, people have to cooperate. In order to studythe essences and characters of group cooperation, improve the efficiency ofpeople's group cooperation using the rules of group cooperation and thetechniques and tools which support cooperation, many objects are exploringthe rules of cooperation from their own studying area.The development of computer techniques brings our society into aninformation age. The amalgamation of communication techniques and thetechniques of computer and network gives birth to a new studyingarea——Computer Supported Cooperative Work (CSCW). It's the inevitableresult of the information process development. It will improve the efficiencyof people's work, advance the development of productivity, deeply influentpeople's way of production, work and life. We can explain CSCW as follows:in the computer based surroundings (CS), a religion-distributed groupcompletes the common work (CW) through cooperation. CSCW is apromising multi-subjected new area, which combines network techniques andthe many aspects of the whole society.The computer-supported cooperation techniques will transform people'sway of cooperating, improve the entire efficiency of people's cooperating. Itcommendably adapts the requests of information society, economicalglobalization and information economy age. Therefore, it has a wide applyscope. Based on the basic tools and working environment it uses, it has theseveral types as follows: Message Systems (E-mail system), Bulletin BoardSystem (BBS), meeting system, Cooperating, Collaborating and Discussing(Compiling) System, Workflow Managing System and Groupware, etc. Workflow technique is a kind of process implementation techniquewhich is popular at present. Workflow is automated work process, which is atechnique related to the concepts of Business Process Reengineering (BPR),Business Automation and so on. Workflow technique contains workflowmeta model and workflow managing system. Workflow meta model hasdefinition of elements used to build model for a process and the relations ofthe elements. The model for a process which is built using workflow metamodel is called a workflow model. Workflow Management System (WfMS)is a software system, which implements the definition, creation, managementand execution of workflow using workflow managing technique. It is anautomatic implementation environment for workflow model, and it is aprocess managing system using workflow model. WfMS provides assistantsupports for workflow routines, exchanges related information automatically,so it accelerates the processing speed of the electric documents related toaffairs, and improves work efficiency. The mostly content of this article is about the development andapplication of CSCW system. This system was designed based on practicalwork flow of one planning institute in Jilin province. Aiming at thisinstitute's current situation that each stage of the production process of eachdepartment is relatively independent, which lead to bad cooperation, lowefficiency and more appearance of mistakes, we undertook the mission tobuild up a computer supported, cooperated designing thought basedengineering design and cooperation management system, thus, rootly, workefficiency is raised and management cost is reduced. As a cooperatedresearch product between the institute and Jilin University, this system onwhich the article is just based is nationally the first software exclusivelydesigned for planning institute for cooperating development and management,and is nationally a good innovation.Comparing with other industries, planning institutes'work mode andwork flow have their own characteristics. Most of their product is blueprintand all work is surrounding the production and management of blueprint, andusually in order to improve the designing efficiency, different departmentsdesigns different parts of a certain building, thus result in conflicts amongparts such as doors, windows and pipes etc.. With the high-speed developingof compute and network technique, using the thought and flow technique ofCSCW for reference, we built this cooperating-work system to avoid theseconflicts, and also to obtain efficient communication among designers inwork flow. When instate receives a new project, work flow will be outspreaded likethis: first of all, carry on the possibility research; then sign oral or formalcontract with clients and also create project; make all level plan based onproject and correlative subprojects, and arrange staffs of each department tojoin the design; and then the process of blueprint design according to the taskpoints in plan; finally is the pigeonholing of blueprint. This system is a kind of Computer Integrated Manufacturing Systems(CIMS) which based on work flow technique, and it uses standard WPDLlanguage to agilely define the check flow in designing process. Logic relationcontains basic relations as sequence relation branch relation and circlerelation, so it can express every more complicated logic relations, thus realizethe maturity of logic.The maturity of logic defined by this kind of process can satisfy theproduction request on the whole, and modify the process of design, reducethe phenomenon of carefree, and we call this rigidity.
