This paper lead to CAN bus by the description of the power of automobile and the current status of domestic and foreign development meanwhile describes merits of CAN bus and SAEJ1939 protocol .At last elaborate on the major designing idea of hybrid electric battery management system based on SAEJ1939 protocol. This system is deviced in modularization method and utilizing the tremendous ability of PCA82C250 and SJAlOOO.the principal module included the signal collecting of sensor ,DSR data processing module ,and the computer controlling module .This system is revisable and transplantable easily. In common system ,signal collection of voltage ,ecectric current and temperature is used by single computer .This system used daring method .The first: DSP2407 of TI company was used in this system to collect signal of voltage ecectric current and temperature .The second CAN bus is used in this system. This system makes use of the advantages of CAN bus ,such as high communication speed,good reliability,good real-timming.By tested this system has the advantages of good reliability,fast speed,and strong ability to adapt to different environments.lt can be installed,used and maintained easily .This system makes the whole workshop into network .Every parts of this system is intelligent and can be seen a modularization .This system also proves the feasibility to design hybrid electric battery management system with CAN bus in the end.
