| Intelligent home has emerged with the development of computer, communications, network and automatic control technology. It is a great change brought up by advancement of technology. Home gateway is the key appliance of Intelligent home and serves as a bridge between community network and home network, which is composed of information home appliances, different sensors, PC and its accessories , etc. Thus home can access the Internet and realize function such as information pool, remote control, centralize management and change the status of home is the lonely information island in the Internet times. The design of home gateway has improved with the emergence new technology. This paper brings up a design of embedded wireless home gateway based on Bluetooth and GPRS techniques.In this paper, an Embedded Application System Based on ARM is proposed as well as designed .First, choose high performance CPU ,AT91M40800, as the core of the wireless home gateway which are fit for intellectual controllers and are applied widely in the world. Then, choose uC/OS — II applied widely in the world whose source codes are free as the wireless home gateway's Operation System . Finally, with the GPRS module and Bluetooth module, the system provides an economical and perfect solution for the wireless home gateway. At the end of this paper, the experimental result of this wireless home gateway on emulational environment that designed by the author has been given.
