Research And Development Of ERP Inventory Management System Based On Mobile Agent

The enterprises in our country begin to face the large competing pressure, as our country is developing the system of the socialism market economy more perfectly and more perfectly and joins in the World Trade Organization (WTO). So they have to take better management measures to try to deal with the economic globalization. As the leading software of enterprise information, the ERP software has become a tool of enhancing the level of enterprise management and strengthening the competing force. Inventory management is an important part in the enterprise management, and is the signifying module of ERP software.According to the development history and the actual appliance of ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning), the paper firstly analyzes the management characteristic and the relation between the inventory management system and ERP system. At the same time, the paper studies the Agent technique and aiming at the technique characteristic of Mobile Agent, is putting up the analyses of distributed module.In order to avoid the variety of the inventory management method that dues to the difference in such aspects as the products , scale organization of enterprises, the paper has especially analysed the main function of inventory management system: the management of security account, the management of putting into storage , the management of delivery from storage , comprehensive query , the management of the bill of lading. Then the common logic module of the inventory management has been established. According to the basic principle of RDB(Relationship Database), the paper has set up the database in the SQL Server 2000 to provide database of the system background, which includes the structure of database , data tables , relevant views and the process of storage.The design of the software of the inventory management system has been finished. Based on the Borland C++ Builder development platform, used C++ language, it is realized the design of the whole software. With the main function of the system, it is divided some parts, which is the user security management module, supplier management module, product information management module and so on. Each of the modules is independent mutually, which is convenience to programming and debugging.Because of the limitation of the traditional system structure—C/S in some aspects such as expansibility, safeguarding, the research of conquering the limitation of traditional method has been launched. This paper discuss the applicability of Mobile Agent in this question, brings forward the distributed module basing on the Mobile Agent. The aglets platform of IBM has been introduced and the distributed calculation setting basing on Mobile Agent has been constructed to make the data between the inventory management module and other modules transfer safely, effectively, quickly.
