The development of computer, network and database technology, along with the tendency of global economy, has greatly promoted the process of enterprise informationzation. It has become the essential option for enterprises to follow the way of informationzatin and build, use the information management system to improve efficiency and gain advantages in the competition.In this dissertation, firstly the definition, development and current situation of the information management system is introduced; the source, my work undertaken and the meaning of the dissertation are explained.Secondly, the framework of the Yimei Company and the characteristics of the business process are analyzed. Using BRP, we establish the standard business process that is suite for the development of the company, and redistrict the department of the company. Furthermore we complete the total design of the system, divide the system into six modules, namely purchasing module, sale management module, inventory management module, after service management module, basic data management module, system management module, and define the function of every module.Thirdly, the function model tree and model figure of the function are drawn by using IDEFO, the model and the relations of these modules are described.Then, the advantages and disadvantages between the Client/Server mode and the Browser/Server mode are analyzed and compared, and the reason of choosing C/S mode, Sql server 7.0 and Visual Basic 6.0 as the tool of the development are explained. Taking the data of the purchasing subsystem as example, the method and course of the design of database are detailed introduced. The technology of the visiting database, the design of the module and the design of the report are introduced in this part. In the design of module, the objective-orientated techniques are used to collect public class and objective lib. Each module carries on the advantage of consistency and speed of the development of the software. On the design of the report, the data queried from the database are exported to the excel sheets, so the user can edit the data himself again according to his requirement.Besides above, the author introduces the key technology of the development of the system: using the single layer BOM to establish the BOM of the product, and taking the product, Maxima 500B, as example, introduces the method and course of the establishing BOM. The "four digital position" method is introduced, and its realization in the system and the implement of this method in the warehouse of parts in the Yimei Company are explained. And the theory of the inventory controlling is explained, and according to theactual conditions of the Yimei Company, the order mathematic model of machine product is established. For the repairable parts, the theory of the inventory controlling of repairable parts is introduced. According to the highest inventory, the safety inventory, the lowest inventory, the inventory controlling of the normal parts is completed. For easily damaged parts, their requirement mathematic model is established, and the required amount of these parts in one or two months is determined, so the inventory of the easily damaged parts is controlled. In this chapter, the method of role-based access control and its implement in the system are explained.Finally, some ideas of the system development are mentioned, and the achievement is concluded. And then the author expects the future of the information management system, and recommends that combining the electric logistics technology with the information management system technology, new generation information management system that is suite for enterprises are developed.
