Study Of Guaranteed Quality Of Service Of Digital Video Services

Computer networks have been a part of our lives. As the computer networks gradually used in our lives ,networks can provides more and more new services. Providing digital videos is a service of high potential. Different from traditional services, service of digital videos has a high level of quality of service. So , quality of service of networks has been an important question of the developing of today's networks.Based on the definition of quality of service which defined by the IETF and the ATM Forum, this article deeply analyze the model of QoS ,and get a conclusion that QoS of ATM networks is credible; but QoS of IP networks has a better future.After studying the request of digital videos' signal for transfer channel, such as the parameters like the mode of coding and encoding, author discussed the trait of a channel which used for transmit digital videos. Further , the author give the rules of building a network which can provide QoSAt last, their is a case of networks which can provide QoS. Author has an analysis of it.
