Software design technology is very important for protective relay device based on the microcomputer. The paper analyses the importance of software design technology, and aiming at the shortage of current protective device software development, shows that the paper's research is necessary. To realize the application of the software on multi-platform, the paper divides the software into different modules, analyses the specialty, data of every module and abstract interface among modules. Finally the paper assembles all the modules through RTOS by transplantable software design method, and brings forward a microcomputer based protection scheme. Through the test, results prove that this kind of design is feasible to realize protection software applicable on multi-platform.
