The simulation of microcomputer relay equipment is increasingly outstanding, with microcomputer relay technique developing quickly, but its type single, function simple, debug difficult, and can not adopt the data for the single simulation of microcomputer relay equipment. The microcomputer relay simulation based on the traditional substation simulation system only simulate the principle, and its setting value unadjusted, man-machine interface(MMI) unfriendly, according to it, the paper research mainly the various microcomputer relay simulation based on the substation simulation system.The paper introduce the primarily constitute and the model technology for substation simulation system, it takes the line microcomputer relay equipment RCS-901A as the material microcomputer relay equipment simulation object, and analyze the line microcomputer relay equipment's arithmetic of protection module in detail, function and structure of MMI, based on it, it is detailed that introduce the software design of microcomputer relay module and MMI, the analog experience result of microcomputer relay equipment etc. after expatiate on the whole design scheme of microcomputer relay simulation.The software design adopts the design thought of module, the each module of protection model is definite, passing the input and output terminates of simulation equipment complete with the interface of other module; the text, the real-time data, the adaptable data and themenu structure etc. in the LCD of MMI, is stored in the access database, and it is independent in the application procedure, convenient for modification and support. The paper analyzed the principle of real-time communication technique in detail, resolve the occur problem of this simulation system in real-time communication.
