The rapid growth of the technology of computing and network mostly promote the scientific research and commercial application based on Internet In many areas, there are more and more higher request for the computing capacity and it is dificult for a single computer to undertake calculation task. As the result of the increasing demand for calculative capacity and resource, Grid technology emergence. The final goal of grid technology is to realize resource share and coordinating work in virtual network environment and eliminate the resource isolated island.In gird system, because of recourse having more characteristics such as wide area distribution, isomerism, dynamic and etc, resource management is a very complex and challenging work whose efficiency is directly related to the performance of the grid system. All existing grid systems such as Globus manage resources through a netlike form. This way need to master overall information when distributing resources which results in the Coallocator overloading, excessive communication cost and poor expandability, furthermore, this kind of gird system doesn't consider the reward of resource supplier.In this thesis we introduce a resource management model based on market mechanism and equilibrium theory. The market price of resource is calculated based on the resource demand of users and the resourcse usage of grid system. The goal of this model is to meet the users' satisfaction and greatly improve the system's utilization, in which the utility function is used to characterize the content degree of a user for some given resources. Each uesr of grid system can self regulates according to the marcket price of the resources he applys. Using this way the grid system can operate evenly. With the market mechanism, we can realize the optimal allocation of grid resources.Because it needn't hold overall resource information, our resource management model is more simpler and more easier to realize campared with others, what's more, it introduces the price mechanism to settle the question of reward of resources supplier.
