The research of speech synthesize has over 200 years history.With the technology of the computer and the digital signal process developing,the speech synthesize has been applied all aspects in latter-day.Recently,the speech synthesize han been applied by computer.Mostly,the computer can speak on high articulation , high nature and continuous sound. Internal and international research of speech synthesize focus on Text-to-Speech on rule.The method of speech synthesize can improve naturalness of speech basing on the database of speech. The system adopt TD-PSOLA(Pitch Synchronous OverLap Add).It select basal speech element from speech database and make up wave.It can reserve original speech rhythm.But the sysytem will be confronted with some problem.For exemple,how to select speech basal element,what rule base on,how to fix quantify of the parameter ofrhythm.lt is emphasis that the machine can pick out speech basal element from speech database automatically.lt can speak naturally.The design present a scheme that is a research of new-style Chinese electric reader.The Chinese electronic reader that bases on DSP,which adopt digit signal processer for CPU. The method of clustering can reduce the size of speech database.Data excavating can forcast the parameter of rhythm. The DSP can process image or sound stream realtimely.Furthermore the system indues of high integrate circuit.Such as CIS and TTS.The system can recognize Chinese characters and read it.The design is consisted of hardware and interface driver software of the reader.lt is emphasis that the theory and method of speech synthesize .Finally ,the real circuit can validate the feasibility of the scheme.
